Job Description

The PHP/WordPress Developer will focus on creating well-designed web sites and custom applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PHP 5, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. This person will support our efforts to build world-class web solutions and will work hand-in-hand with a small team of designers, developers and content managers.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of project managers, marketers, designers, and architects to document, design, test and deploy cutting-edge web sites and custom applications.

Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP programming, MySQL, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with PHP 5.x and OOP
• Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using best practice & de-facto standard plug-ins
• Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level:
  • Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions
  • Creation of customer post types
  • Creating of plugins/widgets written to confirm with the WordPress coding standards
  • Creation of clean, logical well-documented and re-usable code
  • Theme/template integration
  • Knowledge of WordPress Network (multi-site) beneficial
• Experience creating multiple language website (a plus)
• Knowledge of and experience with web accessibility
• Ability to take a comps and replicate in WordPress Framework
• Good understanding of cross-platform and cross browser issues
• Proficient in jQuery
• Experience with highly scalable architectures – PHP/WordPress solutions using load balancers
• Experience integrating with 3^rd party social APIs (Facebook, twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent work ethic, attention to detail and very organized

This person will support our efforts to build world-class web solutions and will work hand-in-hand with a small team of designers, developers and content managers.

Responsibilities

Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on developing, implementing and maintaining skins in the DotNetNuke platform

Required Skills

• Understanding of DotNetNuke Module Development
• Mastery of DotNetNuke skin development
• Ability to take a comps and replicate in HTML
• Adaptive design using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
• jQuery – familiarity with best practices, plugin development, and it’s use in AJAX implementations
• 2+ years experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008+
• 2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005+

Desirable Skills

• Adobe PhotoShop, Fireworks CS4 or later
